Happy Moments ...

Often we forget that it's the little things that matter the most. As a reminder to myself how important it is to appreciate the simple things in life and to take notice of what makes me happy, I thought I'd start a new project. Over the next while I'll be posting photos that make me smile with some of life's little things that make me happy!

I've been so busy lately, that sometimes there really isn't much time to just sit and relax. This weekend I was able to steal a few moments to myself, take the dogs out for a stroll and just appreciate a quiet moment and the sun shining down on me. It was heaven, even if it was only for a few minutes between tasks. :)

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Things I love... New office inspiration

Just a super quick little post to share some of the things I've been loving lately :) I've been really starting to think about what I  want to do with my new office. I've been so busy I decided that it would be best to tackle it after wedding season. I've recently acquired some furniture that I need to repaint etc... to go in it. These are a few pics that have caught my eye and believe it or not, they're kinda inspiring!

From left to right...

Mismatched pillows - one of my most favourite things. I have them on my couch in my livingroom and I'm thinking a cozy space might be in order for the office

Words... I have a recent love for inspiring happy quotes.. this one made me smile

Glassware - just love the randomness of it all (from Martha Stewart website)

Dresser - I have a 6 drawer dresser that I'm thinking of painting a soft mint green

Pink kitchen - my wall colour! That's right! pink with mint green furniture - Don Johnson eat your heart out! ;)

Mint green starburst wallpaper - thinking of doing one wall in wallpaper. I love this one!

Pink glass door knob - For reasons unknown to me the closet in that room doesn't have a door knob! I miss the glass door knobs from my old place.

Pink cupcake - Besides looking terribly yummy, the icing is the colour of paint I want to do my walls in! (source unknown)

See you really can find inspiration from the simplest things!

Have a good night y'all!

Stylized Shoot... Little Girls Tea Party...

A little while ago you might remember me mentioning that I had all kinds of fun and exciting things coming up! Well this was one of them! I had the amazing opportunity to team up with Lisa from Lisa Rivers Photography to do a styled shoot with some ever so lovely and super cute little girls!

This one went so well that we've decided to keep them going! Starting this fall Blue Lily and Lisa Rivers Photography will be offering a series of children's stylized portrait sessions! Stay tuned for more info! It's going to be great times! There will be some pretty cool ones for little boys too!

Special thanks to Lisa for the gorgeous photos. It's truly a gift to meet someone who puts their heart and soul into their work. Big thanks to Sarah from Smiling Rain Photography and Vintage Prop Rentals. The majority of the props you see here came from her and we thank her for it! Sarah has the BEST treasures. This little adventure has led me to meet so many talented and kind people. I'm so grateful to be able to call these ladies my friends :) xo

These are a few of my favourites from the day...

Sneak Peek.. Alix and Craig Wedding

This last weekend was the official kick off to our Blue Lily wedding season and I have to say we had the BEST time!  I already feel like I'm pretty lucky to be able to work with so many lovely couples, but this weekend my couple was truly one of the kindest, most fun, and thoughtful couples I've yet to encounter.

The photo above is the "sneak peek" from Lisa of Lisa Rivers Photography. The ceremony wasn't actually at City Hall, but I LOVE this idea for a shoot! It reminds me of my parents back in 1969. :) They got married at City Hall and the photo I have of them in my living room is a lot like this one. :)

The photos below are from my phone, but you can see how lovely everything was. The bride and her Mom did a fantastic job styling it all, and we were happy to help put their ideas together for them :)

I'll be sure to post more photos later, but wanted to share just a few little tidbits with you now :)

Huge thanks to my girls! Lisa, Sarah MB, Gina and Sarah H. :) You ladies did a fantastic job and I couldn't have done it without you! Love you all!

Special thanks to Alix, and Craig for letting us be a part of your day. I wish you many years of love, happiness, and laughter. xoxo

Hope you all have a lovely evening :)
Big Hugs,
