Win a Portrait or In Love Photo Session with Sweet Heirloom Photography!

Good Morning and Happy Monday Lovelies! I'm soooo sorry I didn't post anything over the weekend. I was down with an awful flu and pretty much slept the weekend away trying to get better. I'm feeling a bit better and will make up the two lost days to you for sure! I will announce the winner of the$100 prop rental in just a little bit, but wanted to get this one out to you as soon as I could! It's a gooder!! ;)

The oh so sweet and ever so talented Meghan of Sweet Heirloom Photography has so generously donated a portrait or in love photo session worth $400 to one of my lucky readers! Whoa Mama! :)

Meghan has always been drawn to photographing people. With her easygoing nature, she aims to capture all the depth, quirks, and whimsy that she can in her subjects. She absolutely loves natural lighting, real moments and all things beautifully feminine. Along with her Husband and her kitty Beane, the ocean has her heart. She dreams of travelling to more countries, but will always fancy herself an Island girl. She might remind you of someone you already know (it happens a lot) and her spirit animal is apparently a wolf. Score!

Sweet Heirloom Photography was established in 2010 by Meghan and her amazing partner in crime, Tanya. After a successful few years in Vancouver, Meghan decided it was time to leave the big smoke (as her dad and grandpa call it) and make the move back over to the Island, where she could expand the business further in her hometown. In the past, Sweet Heirloom Photography has had the pleasure of travelling all over (New York, Miami, Las Vegas, as well as Costa Rica and Mexico) and has been featured in multiple wedding publications and blogs.

I fell in love with Meghan's work the first time I saw it a few years back and have adored everything she does ever since. BIG Fan here! xo  I am beyond excited to that she's here with us now and thrilled to be able to give this prize away to one of you!

These session includes the following:

  • 2 hour session at your home or on location (In the Cowichan Valley)
  • A handful of teaser images within the first week.
  • A private online proofing gallery from which you and your family can also order prints and enlargements.
  • Your favorite 35 images, fully processed and provided as high res, print-ready images on DVD.

This contest will be open for TWO days, and will close at 9pm on Tuesday (tomorrow) instead of the usual just one day. :)

Something sweet just for you..

Good Morning Everyone! Yesterday marked the half way point for this little Advent Calendar. I've been having so much fun with all of these little contests and freebies. I couldn't do any of it without the support of the amazing vendors so a BIG HUGE thank you to them. xoxo We've got LOTS more to come! I"m just getting started :)

I know that I always say this, but I think we're really lucky where we are. Vancouver Island has some of the most talented and amazing wedding and party vendors around. It makes a HUGE difference when I know that since I'm working with such a great vendor, I don't have to worry about that part of the event. I know that my clients are in good hands, and I just don't even have to think about it. It makes my job a whole lot easier, and so much fun! and for that, I am so very grateful!

and now... onto the winner!

The winner of the yummy Purdy's Chocolates is.....

Renee Russell Dunlop!!

YAY Renee!! I will get in touch with you and arrange for delivery of your treats!!

AND since it's just SO very wrong that Karen Tweedy has not had Purdy's in 15 years (seriously?) ;) I will be sending you a little treat in the mail too! :)

Much love to all,
Tam xo

Now accepting vendors for our Holiday Advent Calendar

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm so happy that Fall is finally starting to show it's lovely face around here. Hot chocolate, leaves falling, and cozy sweater season is finally here!

Fall also means the time when my wedding season is starting to wind down, (although this year it seems to be still going strong!), :) and it's time for me to start putting together my Advent Calendar for all of you!

If you are a vendor and are either located on Vancouver Island or want to offer a service, product, prize our coupon that can be distributed easily to the winner this is for you!

As most of you know, I hold an annual online Holiday Advent Calendar. That means that everyday from Dec 1 to Dec 24, I offer a contest, a freebie, or a coupon to all of my lovely followers. Each day, I pick a new business to feature on my blog and through various social media avenues. If this interests you, please let me know!

Email hello@bluelilyevents.com for more details!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Back to the grind...

Today was a wonderful day. It was a "pajama day" where I finally got to "undeck the halls" at my house. I've been away since boxing day and crazy busy this week so this was really the first time i've had to take down everything and get my cute little retro cabin back :)

I was also able to get a jump start on a few tasks that I've really been putting off for a while now. They're just not as much fun as the party planning part of this job ;) but i'm happy to say that I'm on my way to having those complete! Yay me! hehe

When I was packing up the Christmas stuff I took a minute to take a few pics of some of my favorite vintage decorations. They were given to me after one of my aunt's passed away and I love them. :)

Hope you all have a lovely evening :)
Tam xoxo

Holiday wishes....

"What if Christmas he thought, doesn't come from a store, what if Christmas perhaps, means a little bit more..." ~ the Grinch, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

For me my favorite thing about the holidays, is getting together with family and friends. Whatever you celebrate, and however you choose to do so, I wish you all much love, happiness and fond memories this holiday season. Thank you so much for all your support over the past year. It's been an adventure and I appreciate all of you.

Love to all,
Tam xoxo
