Things I love... Iphoneography

Hello Folks :)

I had the nicest day yesterday! For those of you who don't know, in addition to my little Blue Lily adventure, I actually work full time for a few companies during the week. Things can get pretty hectic for me, especially during wedding season, so I decided to take yesterday and make it nothing but a Blue Lily day!

I'm so glad I did! It was the best day ever!  I started the day off at a gorgeous venue with some lovely ladies for a site visit and planning session.  We wandered the property discussing logistics etc.. and it seemed like every time we found a new little nook, or wandered across a field, it sparked a new idea! This wedding is full of details! I can't wait for the day to come so I can share it with all of you. I'm kinda excited ;)

I spent the rest of the afternoon popping into thrift stores for some things I needed, and working on the computer at home. I even managed to get in some time with the Mr. :)  I'd say it was a pretty darn good day!

These are a few photos I took with my iPhone and some things I'm loving lately...

FYI... this is a GIANT chocolate chip cookie :)

Hope you all have a lovely evening :)

Happy Thursday!

Sometimes it's good to just check in with yourself.....  There's something to be said about doing what you love, it can be tough, and sacrifices need to be made, but it's so worth it!

Thank you to all my clients, friends and family for helping me do what I love :)

P. S. - I really would like a red freezie ;)

Wobbly Wednesday... The Low Country Lemonade

This pretty little beverage is as tasty as it is gorgeous! Perfect for a signature drink at your next Springtime luncheon with the ladies!

What you need:
  • 1 oz Peach Snapps
  • Frozen or Fresh lemonade
  • a smidge of Blue Curaco
  • Sugar (for the glass rim) optional
  • Lemon wedges
  • Ice

What you gotta do:

  1. Rub a sliced lemon wedge around the rim of your glass and coat with sugar
  2. Fill the glass with ice. Pour 1 oz Peach Snapps into the glass. Add just a smidge of Blue Curaco to the glass, and top up with lemonade.
  3. Stir well until you have the desired colour. Now just sit back and enjoy!
Have a happy Wobbly Wednesday!

Thoughtful little touches for your wedding...

I love to put thoughtful touches on things wherever I can. I think it's the little things that make life so great. Whether it's a note on the Mr's pillow for him to get after a crazy day, or "I'm thankful" cards for my friends and family at my Thanksgiving dinner, I think it's important to show those most important to you how much you care.

Here's a few things you can do on your wedding day to show your love and appreciation to those that mean the most to you.

1.)  Give the gift of shoes! First off, what woman doesn't love new shoes! Give your Bridesmaids the shoes you'd like them to wear on the big day, and write a personalized message to them on the bottom. They won't expect it and I'm sure they'll feel loved each time they wear them. :)

2.)  Write him a little note... Send your flower girl, ring bearer or bridesmaid down the aisle with a little note for your groom. He'll keep it and treasure it forever!

3.) Steal a little moment before the ceremony. If keeping with tradition is important for you, but want a little moment before you walk down the aisle, here's a way to get both. This photo gave me the goosebumps! I love little moments like this.. Sigh... I am such a girl! ;)

4.) Nothing beats a heartfelt Thank you, but the use of props can be an additional way to show your love and appreciation of everyone who joined you on your special day. Print thoughtful messages on coloured velum and cut out for drink tags. Your guests will appreciate the thoughtfulness!

Wishing you all a lovely Monday! Have a fantastic day!

Things I love...

Happy Easter Sunday! Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine on this lovely long weekend! Things have been a little hectic to say the least for me lately, so I was actually able to take a few days, to putter in the garden, visit with family, and even got away on a little mini road trip adventure with the Mr. yesterday. :) It was just what I needed! Now I'm back, recharged, and ready to tackle this mountain I call a "to do" list! ;)

Spring is my most favourite time of the year! I'm in heaven when the sun is shining, the blossoms are out and the birds are chirping. Here's a few of the things I've been loving lately :)
