The 2016 wedding season officially kicked off last weekend. Things have been pretty busy around here to say the least, but I'm so thankful I'm getting some time to catch up on some blogging. This sweet garden wedding was definitely one of my favorites and I'm so excited to share it with all of you. Minshen and Lucas' afternoon wedding at the Villa Marco Polo in Victoria BC was such a beautiful day.
If you've ever been to the Villa, you know that it's a magical and charming place. It's Italian garden is nothing short of spectacular and is perfect for a larger ceremony or intimate wedding reception. I'm a firm believer that you don't have to go crazy on the decor. Don't get me wrong, the decor is my most favorite part of the planning process, but sometimes a few simple consistent touches are just what you need to make your day beautiful. This wedding was a perfect example of just that.
Greenery garlands with a light colored blooms lined the tables and some candles in crystal holders completed the look.Tina from Platinum Floral Designs was there to work her magic. I am so blessed to know this girl. :) Anemone, spray rose, hypericum berries, veronica, snowberries and eucalyptus were used to create a playful bouquet!
Monochrome petals lined the aisle.
All of the DIY touches you see were created by the Bride herself :) From the hand drawn signage to the table numbers with photos of the bride and groom at the age of the corresponding table number, and even the floral garland for their sweet photo booth.
Adding personal touches from home can be a cost effective and personal way to add some interest to your decor. A vintage vanity was used as our cake table and couldn't have been more sweet. This amazing naked cake was made by Laura from Schur to Please Specialty Cakes. So delicious! Keeping the consistency of our decor, we used garlands and blush colored blooms on the vanity.
Jackson from Jackon's Ice Cream Float even arrived with his team at the end of the evening to supply the wedding with a few sweet treats. Seriously... how cute is this?
Ameris was there to capture all those incredible moments.
The day was filled with so much love, laughter, (even some karaoke later in the evening) good food, fantastic vendors and one of the kindest couples you ever did meet.
I'm truly thankful to be able to have a job that enables me to work with some wonderfully talented individuals and their teams. This day would not have been possible without the following companies..
